Liane I saw on instagram, and started carrying her bread when Claire (Ursa Bakery) isn’t baking. Liane also makes hummus and I carry that regularly. It’s the best hummus I’ve had and all my customers think the same.

This is the coolest spot ever! So glad that something like this is now in our area! I feel like it's never been easier to get good local groceries in a conveniently located place you can trust. The owner Dave is the best. He's knowledgable, helpful, and you can tell he's been doing this for years. The good values of this business come right through when you go there. I would highly recommend a visit!

This place is awesome. It has everything you need and more: fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, honey, cheese-straight from the local farms; fresh breads and pastries from a few local bakeries; frozen meat and fish, pierogies, spices (some of which I have never seen before); jams and peanut butter; olive oil; ice cream, popsicles, and the most delicious ice cream sandwiches; soups, sandwiches, and spreads; flowers, beauty products.... Dave, the owner, is very passionate about eating locally sourced, fresh food. He is friendly and knowledgeable and is always happy to answer your questions.

I was encouraged by a friend to pop by this place. I am so glad that I did! I cannot believe how much amazing high quality stuff can fit so eloquently into a small shop. We pop in after church for some organic kombucha (so good!), sometimes some organic local ice cream and definitely some non-gmo popcorn and fruit for our ride home. Can’t forget delicious cheese and truly high quality pastured meat (at a good price!) to make for dinner! We will continue to stop by Dave’s whenever we are in town. Thanks for opening up this awesome shop where we can find organic and local stuff that isn’t funneling money into big chains.

Dave’s Backyard Farms became our backyard farm too! We get our weekly staples basket- best free range eggs, milk, sour cream and bread- don’t want any of those from anywhere else anymore. Oh and the olive oil- oh it is good! Also thankful for wonderful seasonal treats- best apples in Fall and Winter, radishes and strawberries in Spring and we will see what the Summer will bring;)! Thank you Dave!!

Dave's market is incredible and has such a great variety of products. We have been purchasing from Dave since he was selling fresh produce out of his driveway during COVID, and he continues to stick to the primary goal of providing products that are as local and seasonal as possible. We have enjoyed a variety of fruits and vegetables, frozen meats, dairy products, pastas, breads, and even local crafts and books! Be sure to sign up for Dave's email newsletter as well. Each week, he mails out a list of available goods (very detailed) and will give some background information on where a new product is from, what to expect seasonally in the coming weeks, or even educational information about farming practices. What an incredible resource for our community!

A little hidden gem in Huntingdon Valley! I found Dave's store while searching for raw milk. Even though I live in Plymouth meeting, it's worth the drive. The store is beautifully curated with REAL FOOD that taste amazing!And make sure to sign up for the newsletter! Dave's got the highest quality and food and tastiest treats around! I only buy meat from Dave because I know it's super local and organic, the steaks, chicken and smoked salmon are all sooo delicious. The fresh bread is the most delicious bread I've ever tasted, the eggs are fresh with orange yolks, and I love the sauerkrauts, spices, and other fun unique small batch items. Also Dave is the nicest, sweetest man! Love his mission, dedication, and all his goodies

Dave’s has a wonderful assortment of highly sustainable products. We enjoy his selection of meats and seafood, along with all the interesting specialty items. I haven’t had to buy meat in a grocery store since I’ve been working with him. We feel fortunate that we found his store it is definitely a gem.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dave's Backyard Farm, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. Dave's commitment to providing organic and locally grown produce is truly admirable, and it shines through in every aspect of his store.As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The shelves were stocked with an impressive variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, all clearly labeled with their origin and growing methods. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the produce - everything looked and tasted amazing.But what really sets Dave's Backyard Farm apart is Dave himself. He's incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and he clearly has a deep passion for his work. I had the pleasure of chatting with him for a while about his favorite chess strategies and some philosophical ideas, which really added to the overall experience.Overall, I would highly recommend Dave's Backyard Farm to anyone looking for high-quality, organic produce and a wonderful shopping experience. The best food market in the Philly area by a country mile. Everything Dave sells is of pristine quality and delicious. Also Dave is in the business for all of the right reasons. The comparison to other food shops isn’t fair and doesn’t really make sense - Dave’s is in a league of its own. Real food, made with the best quality ingredients you can grow right here in the Philly area. What every food market should be.

Dave’s Backyard Farms brings a pleasant addition to Huntingdon Valley. His unique shelf items as well as his wonderful fresh fruit are delicious. The dairy products and jars of sour pickles are unique as well as tasty. You can’t go wrong stopping by. You will definitely find yourself a treat!

Wonderful variety of delicious, local products that you can’t find in chain stores. Dave is great - very responsive to questions and requests. His weekly emails are helpful for shopper planning, and his own musings add to the experience of patronizing his shop. Definitely worth a stop!

An absolute gem of a store by an absolutely gem of a proprietor. Dave’s shop is a unique and genuine experience in exquisitely curated and utterly delicious local and organic foods. The flavors are off the charts- we had company recently and made about a dozen burgers. Some of the beef was from Dave’s and the rest was from a grocery chain. The difference in flavor became the discussion topic at dinner! Dave’s beef was immensely superior in terms of flavor and texture. Our experience is that this applies to everything we’ve bought from Dave’s.Highly recommend visiting!

Excellent! Wholesome local and seasonal foods and treats are thoroughly enjoyed by my husband and I and Dave’s selections from local artisans and farmers are top notch. Always a warm and welcoming vibe when shopping here and discovering new items. This guy really knows his stuff. Happy to see Dave’s Backyard Farms in Huntingdon Valley!
